Warwick Gates joined together with local rural supply stores, wineries and generous farmers to donate cattle and other merchandise to a charity auction at Stanthorpe’s annual show. The graziers donated 25 head of cattle and local stores donated other merchandise and miscellaneous items to raise over $46,000 for RACQ LifeFlight, previously known as CareFlight. LifeFlight is a major aeromedical service to the Stanthorpe area with each mission costing $13000 or more. “[It] gets a lot of service from us because the main hospital is so far away,” said Nikki Bloom, LifeFlight’s community engagement officer. “It makes me really proud that the guys who are in the helicopters and doing the work are getting noticed.”
