The Gate Wheel, Effortlessly Opens Heavy Gates

Quick to add, takes strain of fence & post, so easy to open

“The inspiration for the Gate Wheel came from watching an old mate struggling, literately dragging this big old steel gate so he could go to the next paddock, then he had close it! This made remember of all the times I’ve seen kids jump out of the ute, struggling to open a gate that was taller, and heavier than them. It made me think there has to be a better way!” said Jon Earl from Warwick Gates.

“The Gate Wheel has been designed to take the drag out of opening heavy steel gates. There is no more struggling, dragging, or cursing, simply by adding the Gate Wheel to your existing steel gate, and opening the gate becomes child’s play. “ Jon said.

“The Gate Wheel is made locally by Warwick Gates who have been manufacturing gates, fences and fencing equipment in southern Queensland for over 25 years. Warwick Gates is made with quality Australian heavy duty steel, and designed to be strong enough to support the weight of any big heavy duty double steel gate. “ said Jon.

The Gate Wheel will suit most steel gates, plus it’s quick to add with 6 easy steps and here’s all you need to;
  • First step check the gate, the Gate Wheel needs a space of 200mm x 185mm to rotate on the axle, so depending on the design of the gate, you may need to cut a space for it.
  • Next, place axle brackets over the bottom rail and bolt them on the gate.
  • Then, place both halves of the wheel over the axle bracket.
  • Place all bolts through the four outer holes and secure the two halves together tightly.
  • Next step is to place the remaining two bolts through the axle bracket and wheel halves and tighten.
  • Lastly, fix the brackets either side of the wheel on the gate to keep the wheel in place with the tek screws supplied.
  • If you’re not sure visit the Quikfence website and see the video of the Gate Wheel being assembled and in action.

“The Gate Wheel is low maintenance and ideally suited for your home, on the farm, rural properties and businesses. Adding the Gate wheel will help reduce any potential OH&S issues for the workplace or home, to make light work of opening heavy steel gates.” Jon said.

The Gate Wheel is available Australia wide and distributed through Quikfence, it can be ordered on 1800 062 723 or visit www.quikfence.com.au/gatewheel. If you’re interested in stocking the Gate Wheel, contact Jon at 1800 062 723 or email jon@quikfence.com.au.
